Freehold properties can often form part of a Resident Management Company whilst there are of course no service charge costs for the maintenance of your freehold house, there may be a responsibility to contribute to the maintenance of communal landscaped areas. This will be clearly detailed in your TP1 document.

Resident Management Companies are often set up by developers to facilitate the maintenance of the communal areas, and to provide property owners with control. The Directors of the RMC are property owners who give up their time for the benefit of all owners.
