On 18th May 2011 we were delighted to announce that Crabtree Property Management became one of the first carbon neutral residential managing agents in the UK after working with Carbon Footprint Limited and engaging in a carbon offsetting scheme.
Crabtree Property Management believes that accepting the principles of sustainability will be important to our continued growth in the property sector. With this in mind we have set up The Green Committee headed up by George Georgiou, the architect of Crabtree’s carbon neutral status.
The aim of The Green Committee is two fold:
- To manage the company’s ongoing carbon reduction programme internally
- To investigate services that can be offered to our clients which encourage sustainability
The committee will meet officially once a month to drive progress in the company’s green programme and has produced a newsletter that will be circulated within the Crabtree Property Group on a cyclical basis.
One of the first tasks of The Green Committee was to finalise the company’s environmental policy (below.)
We hope that going forward this latest innovation will prove beneficial to our clients, suppliers and business associates in an ever changing and demanding property market.
